and we are still going... and going... and going

Ok, so we are now on day #1 past the official due date of Baby Boy Gold. This is something I was not really prepared for... the waiting. It is torture to sit and wait, feeling every little movement. Hoping each and every poke, pain, pull, push... are a sign of impending labor. Really, I have only experienced one really good contraction. So, we sit and wait. I am still working, which is really not keeping me distracted because I have nothing to do... why, because I am supposed to have a baby right now!

THE PLAN: Well, Dr. Ramsey says that one week over my due date is plenty to wait. I would have said no thanks before, but now, I am thinking that is just fine. So, on Labor Day Monday we will go into the Hospital (if we have not already had the baby) and we will being to be induced. First the non-medicated way, and then the medicated way on Tuesday morning. But wait... we may be sent home if labor does not being, so, there may be even more waiting. But, for now, that is our plan.

I am not really growing anymore, but I am getting my first few stretch marks now... yea. The baby's room is almost finished, but I have lost inspiration to put anything on the walls. So, it is fully stocked, and lacking decoration. Oh, well.

Hopefully the next thing that gets posted on this page is a baby announcement! Yea!

The Countdown...

Here we are... so close! We are less than four weeks from our due date now! The nursery is painted, but Nick still has not been home to add some art to the walls. We hope he can get that done before the little guy is here. We are slowly getting his room together. It is quite a process. We washed his smallest clothes this past weekend, and his baby carrier is all ready!
The pictures this month are of the beginnings of the nursery. Brandon is putting together the crib. Packing his little bag with little hats and burp cloths. The profile is from 36 weeks! Getting really big (and I might add, looking really tired).
We are packing our hospital bag, which makes me nervous :) We had our baby birthing class this past weekend and we have new born care tomorrow. We are learning a lot, but I am thinking there is not a lot that we are going to remember or use.
I am having appointments each week now. Last week there was no dilation. Tomorrow I hope to have better news. I am still praying that he does not go too far past his due date. He has to stay in long enough for Gran and Nick to get here on the 13th, but after that... we are all ready to go!

Well, this is not a current picture of the belly. Its about 3 weeks old. We will have to get a new one for 32/33 weeks this weekend. Also, this is the nursery before it was painted and a crib and rocker were added. I will post a picture of that soon too!
Wow! Time has flown by!

We are over 8 months along now. Brandon and I are finally settling into the house. Garage sale this weekend to make it official. We are truly just enjoying being here and being home before we go from 2 to 3!

Baby Boy has gotten so strong. I can watch him move his limbs across my belly. It is just amazing. The doctor believes he is head down for now, and about 4 pounds. He is still just a little small, but the good news is we will officially not go past Sept. 6th before they induce. With a serious cut off date, we make this a little more real.

Names! We will not be naming him until he arrives but these are our front runners: Lucas, Logan, and Colton. We are more than happy to have votes on these :) No matter what, it will be (first name) Brandon Gold.

Oh, boy!

So, we officially have a house! And we officially have a BOY!

It has been such an amazingly crazy few weeks. We have before and after pictures of the house to post. I will do those later. We have painted the main kitchen living area and our bedroom. There is only the guest bed and baby's room to still finish.

We had our sonogram on the 5th of April. We planned to keep the baby's sex a surprise, but the first thing we were shown was our little boy and his boy parts! So, there he is! We are just ridiculously excited. They have kept our due date as August 30, despite the fact that the baby was a little small.

I am starting to get a little less comfortable (heartburn and not sleeping well). This whole experience is such an adventure. We are now just waiting to meet our son.

This weekend Brandon and I have been together 10 years! We decided to celebrate this event since we will probably be in the hospital for our 1 year anniversary :)

Belly Progress

Ok, so the Pictures are in the following order: 8 Weeks, 12 weeks, (1) 18 week, then the 21 week pictures (taken this morning, and I look like poo) So, these are belly pictures.

All Things Big and Small

This is our little family Blog. So much is happening right now that we wanted to create a spot for family and friends to keep up to date on the Gold Family happenings.

Baby Gold is just almost 17 weeks old this week. Our first doctor's appointment with our Fredericksburg doctor is scheduled for next week Thursday. Dr. John Ramsey will be our new doctor.

The big day (20 week sonogram) is scheduled for April 5! We will have pictures up pronto so you can all take a guess at what it is going to be! This sonogram will mark our about half-way point through this. That is just amazing!

House News: we were unable to close on our house this week. It was such a disappointment, but it appears that all will be a go to close next week. We had just one hiccup after another with this loan process. Such as mess! We are looking forward to getting into our house next week and enjoying being homeowners!

That is our news this week. I will try and post house pictures next week! That will be just so exciting. Don't forget, we have an extra bedroom (next week) so you all need to come and stay with us!

Alright, we love you all! Thanks for reading!
